Welcome to the video! This is an easy, DIY 1:12 scale dollhouse miniature project to make 1950’s vintage circle skirts using fabric, Bunka & trims. The video shows one way to make 1950’s era, vintage, circle skirts including the poodle skirt, a daisy chain skirt & a fiesta skirt design. The skirt can be modified for display or as a doll or mannequin costume. I have two prior videos showing how to make a skirt hanger & clothing rack to display the skirts. Materials List: 1. fabric - cotton, thin, approximately 9 1/4 x 9 1/4 inch piece for skirt & waistband; cut one 4, 5 or 6 inch diameter piece for skirt & one 3 x 3/4 inch piece for waistband 2. trimming & decorations - Bunka approximately 19 inches unraveled for skirt edge & 6 inches for leash; no hole bits about 20 pieces for collar, flocking for fur about 1/2 teaspoon; one sticker for buckle, metallic silver in circle or square, 1/4 diameter or 1/4 x 1/4 inches, plus a small piece for buckle prong, also could cut from card stock & paint silver; copy paper for dog appliqué measurements 15/16 inch width from nose to tail & 7/8 inch length from head to paw 3. iron & board, can use a mini iron 4. paper - to make pattern template like, tissue, towel, card, lined or copy; copy paper for appliqué dog or flower/leaf decorations 5. glue - PVA clear drying 6. toothpicks - to apply glue 7. pencil 8. tweezers 9. ruler 10. scissors 11. clamps 12. graphic drawing compass - to make circles or use objects with circle shapes like lids 13. container - like plastic lids to hold glues 14. craft knife & mat 15. sewing straight pins - to hold fabric to pattern template before cutting 16. sewing elastic - for belt, black (or choose a color), cut 2 3/4 inch length from 1/4 width 17. acrylic paint - black, to trim edge of appliqué; to match elastic & paint center of buckle sticker & dog eye 18. thread - black, to match belt elastic 19. needle - to sew together belt elastic edges optional: paper punches for daisy chain decorations five 3/8 inch flower & ten 1/4 inch leaves; yellow acrylic paint for flower center Notes: *supplies & materials available online or at your local arts & crafts stores or department/hardware/home stores *sizes are close approximations Uses ideas: *1:12 miniature diorama displays, stores, clothing shops, fashion designer studios or events, sewing room boxes, closets, laundry or utility rooms, theater sets, costume racks & gifts for special events *club projects or activities - non commercial purposes I hope you like & share this project making a miniature circle skirts.…Look for my upcoming 1:12 scale projects…including more from the wildflower series, spice holders with containers & another LED ready lamp idea… Thank you so much for watching, Cathy Miniaturist
