Schleissheim New Palace (Neues Schloss Schleissheim) is a part of Schleissheim Palace complex and a great example of German baroque architecture together with the grand baroque park. The Gallery of baroque paintings there from the Bavarian State Picture Collections is very impressive. Schleissheim Old Palace is an example of German early baroque architecture from 18th century, now it is a museum with two exhibitions - of religious culture and history of Prussia with different national costume styles. Lustheim Palace (at 1.3 km from Schleissheim New Palace) hosts an exhibition of wonderful Meissen porcelain collection (Meissen is a small town near Dresden, a tourist tour at Meissen porcelain factory is very interesting too). Quite interesting is also the Deutsches Museum Flugwerft Schleissheim near the Schleißheim Old Palace (with exhibition of very first Otto Lilienthal gliders and old German airplanes and engines).
