The D1 highway section from Turany to Hubova represents the last unfinished segment of the highway connecting Bratislava to Košice. The route was designed in the so-called tunnel variant, featuring two tunnels named Korbeľka and Havran. These tunnels, when combined, will be longer than the renowned Višňové tunnel. In this video, we will explore the entire planned highway route, including an examination of the impact assessment on groundwater by the tunnels. The construction is expected to be both technically and financially demanding, and the opening of this section is not anticipated in the near future.
