The Philips CRT TV | Best HIDDEN GEM Retro Gaming | JVC D-Series Rival

The Philips 27LT220/17 CRT is one of the most stunning, yet hidden gems I have come across in my years of playing old games on CRTs. Most retro gamers tend to gravitate towards the JVC D-Series or the Sony Trinitron Wega lines because they have star power and an established reputation for top level consumer quality. However, in my experience, rather than chasing a brand, we must probably consider chasing a good picture and often pass over a branding to find the glory of a great retro gaming CRT… And that’s what this Philips seems to be for me. It’s an excellent example of how good high end consumer grade gaming can look on a slot mask tube with all the right inputs. In this video, we go beyond the ultra retro gaming mainstream brands of Sony and JVC and explore just how lovely the Philips line of CRTs can look.
