Week 32 was a jam-packed one — full of travel, supply runs, show deals, and some big upgrades for the Crafter! 📖 Chapters 00:00 – Start of the trip 00:55 – What’s going on this week? 03:38 – Transporter HQ Visit 04:58 – Stop at Nan & Grampy’s 06:07 – NEC Motorhome Show 10:08 – End of the show & Savvy purchase 11:10 – Rogue Alloy Visit 12:56 – Van packed and heading home 14:16 – First of the installs & a delay 15:44 – Change of plan (Alloys installed) 20:53 – Rear ladder install 24:48 – Outro The week began with the ferry to Heysham — kicking off a big mainland supply run to collect parts for the conversion. I was heading to the NEC Motorhome & Caravan Show in Birmingham and made the most of the trip by picking up some of those expensive-to-ship items along the way. We travelled south to Didcot, stopping at Transporter HQ to grab a few key upgrades — new headlights, a spare wheel carrier, and a rear ladder (saving over £300 in shipping to the Isle of Man 💪). After an evening at Nan and Grandad’s, Wednesday was all about the NEC Show with my dad. The show was class — packed with inspiration for the interior layout and some great chats with suppliers. I picked up a Savvy Van Control System at a show deal, which will be the main hub for the Crafter’s electrical setup. Thursday was a quick stop in Reading to collect my new Rogue Alloys, then it was time to load up and catch the ferry back home. By Saturday, I was itching to start fitting some of the new gear. The plan was to install the rear ladder and spare wheel carrier — but missing a spline drill end threw a spanner in the works. So instead, I fitted the new alloys… and wow, what a difference! Completely transformed the van’s look. With a hand from Josef, I got the ladder installed later that evening. The spare carrier will have to wait until next week though, with miserable weather setting in and Vandango needing attention — a small windscreen chip to fix before heading back out on hire Sunday morning.
