4K bike ride | Suburbs to Auckland Airport If you’re coming to New Zealand and intend to bike tour, there’s a good chance you’ll be exiting the airport using this cycle lane infrastructure. It’s pretty well set up with only a couple of small sections to transit on roads. ( This ride is heading to the airport but you'll get the idea) Once you connect to Māngere Bridge you’re about 40 mins from downtown Auckland and the connecting points to Northland. Another option would be to bike out to the east from the airport which will eventually line you up for easterly and southern routes.
