My First Etching Press! - Unpacking and bed prep of Blick 906 Etching Press 😄 Yay! Printmaking!

I’ve wanted a press for printmaking for years and it’s finally happening! It’s a long video, but I wanted to show the prep for the bed. It’s now happily sitting in my “studio” aka. bedroom. This was the first time I’ve set up a press so my fellow printmakers came to the rescue with information how to protect the metal plate. Thank you!!! The press is a Blick 906 Etching press from Blick Art Materials https://www.dickblick.com/products/bl... I got the 36 inch steel bed and also purchased the blankets. I did not purchase the table it comes with (out of budget for now, so needing to make some rails to o support the bed.
