In 2024, Bing makes up 13% of my SEO traffic for my clients and my website. To help increase the traffic that I get from Bing, I use Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools to audit and review ways to increase the traffic from Bing. If you want SEO services from TM Blast, you can visit this link: https://www.tmblast.com/services/nati.... Below are the ways I use Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools as an SEO Expert 1) Search Performance: What are the keywords driving impressions and clicks to my website? I then add these keywords to SEMRush via daily keyword tracking. As a note, Bing only provides sampled data so it won't match with Google Analytics traffic from Bing 2) Site Explorer: I reviewed this section to see if there were any issues with Bingbot crawling a website. Some clients come to me with low traffic percentages from Bing. When I see that, I go into the Site Explorer section to see if there are issues with Bingbot and the website. Some issues can include malware, canonical tag problems, NOINDEX tags, and more 3) Sitemaps: Like GSC (Google Search Console), I want to see when Bing last saw the XML sitemap. If there was a lag in crawls, I'll submit that again 4) IndexNow: If you are a large e-commerce website or media site, I recommend setting up IndexNow. Any change you make will notify Bing to crawl that content, which results in faster indexing and rankings 5) URL submission: You can manually tell Bing to crawl a piece of content 6) Backlinks: Bing, like Google, values backlinks to a website. I like to use this part of the tool to see what the backlink profile looks like from Bing's perspective 7) Top Insights: Basic SEO advice for webmasters to follow. I don't use this as an SEO expert, but I recommend new webmaster owners who are new to SEO 8) Crawl Control: You can change how much Bing wants to crawl your website. I have my settings to the max because I went through a site migration, so I want Bing to crawl the content as much as possible 9) Copyright Removal Notice: I've seen instances where content has been removed on Bing in this section. Be sure to review this on a monthly basis to make sure nothing has changed 10) Microsoft Clarity: I don't use this currently, but I did in the past. The tool gives a heatmap review of your website. I recommend only using this for a month or two and then removing the script. The script does take up a lot of resources, which will slow down the website
