Peter Sarosi: Civil Society and Drug Policy Reform in the EU

Nordic Reform Conference 2021: Peter Sarosi is human rights activist and drug policy expert, the founder and editor of the Drugreporter website since 2004, the author of hundreds of articles, co-author of books and director of several films about harm reduction, drug policy reform, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and sex work. He was the recipient of the International Rolleston Award for his outstanding contribution to harm reduction advocacy in 2017. He served two terms at the Core Group of the EU Civil Society Forum on drugs, an expert group of the European Commission, from 2013-18. He is a board member of the Sex Workers' Advocacy Network (SWAN). He is currently doing a PhD at the Faculty of Psychology of the ELTE University in Budapest.
