In this Engage Lab How To Video learn 7 tips to make your unconference uber engaging. Tip 1. Be creative and bold with your Burning Question Tip #2. Sessions should be attendee-generated but also have a spine Tip #3. The Four Principles Who ever shows up to your session are the right people Whatever happens is the only thing that could happen Whenever it starts is the right time Whenever it is over it is over Tip 4. The Law of Two Feet The Law of Two Feet allows attendees to participate or leave sessions as they feel most comfortable. If attendees aren’t learning or contributing, they are welcome to leave the session and let their feet take them to wherever they feel they need to be. Tip #5. Set up seating in circles, not rows. Tip #6. Prep your facilitators to be engaging and welcoming. Tip #7. Document outcomes and formalize next steps BONUS TIP Use the Move Up, Move Up facilitation technique We’ve all been to conferences where there are individuals who speak a lot and some who don’t speak at all. We’d like to encourage those who’d like to say something a chance to share it. Sharing the MOVE UP, MOVE UP principle with your attendees can help with this. You can mention that if you’re someone who tends to not speak a lot, you’re welcome to move up your thoughts and share them with the group more. And if you tend to share a lot of your thoughts with the group, move up your listening, as you allow others to have space and hear ideas that you may not have come up with. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments - we'd love to hear from you. Drop us a comment below or email us at info@changemakersvan.com. Thanks for watching!
