Gold's Gym in 1971, was set to close its' doors forever, but a last minute save by a member who had movie and publishing connections, and business acumen, leveraged those into taking Gold's from being the mecca to a small audience of bodybuilders, to an iconic destination and the ground zero for fitness, bodybuilding, and a driving force in the United States culture shift.
