The Best Coconut Sugar Cooking Demonstration

Camiguin's Coco Sugar: Part of the the itinerary of the Cabuan Coastal and Village Tour experience is a demonstration on coco-sugar production. These are local products which are being produced by fishing families in the community, however they had the dilemma of being able to grow produce, however not knowing what to do with it or how to profit from it. Our FCG ANZDEC consultants helped turn these coconuts into a product they could sell. Enjoy! The coco sugar which is derived from freshly gathered coconut sap toddy or "tuba" is strained and cooked carefully in low fire in an open vessel until it crystallizes into a final product, the coco sugar.
