Across Rif Mountains: from Fnideq to the Historical City of Fes, Morocco [E33]

Starting in Fnideq, we embarked on an motorcycle journey along the crystal-clear Mediterranean coast, riding past rugged cliffs and golden beaches. The Holiday of the Goat (Eid al-Adha) made this experience even more special, as we witnessed Morocco’s rich traditions: families gathering, the sacrifice of a sheep or goat, and locals generously sharing fruits and inviting us to eat with them. As we approached Al Hoceima, we turned south into the Rif Mountains, climbing through twisting roads and deep valleys. Many villages felt almost deserted due to the holiday, adding a peaceful charm to the journey. The landscapes were breathtaking, and I was grateful to capture the stunning views along the way. Finally, we descended into Fes, where we explored Fes el Bali, the ancient heart of the city. Together with another historic medina, it has earned UNESCO World Heritage status, preserving centuries of history, culture, and craftsmanship.
