🔴Shree Somnath Jyotirlinga is a Shiva temple in Gujarat, India that is considered the first of the 12 holy Jyotirlingas. The temple is located at the Triveni Sangam, where the Saraswati, Hiranya, and Kapila rivers meet. The temple is on the western coast of India, at the meeting point of the Kapila, Hiran, and Sarasvati rivers. The Somnath Jyotirlinga is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus According to popular belief, the Moon God built the temple to show gratitude towards Lord Shiva. The temple has been destroyed and rebuilt many times by invaders and rulers. Sardar Patel rebuilt the modern temple after visiting the ruins in 1947. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the President of India, performed the Pran-Pratistha at the temple in 1951. Significance: The temple is believed to be the place where Shiva first manifested himself as a fiery column of light. The site has been a pilgrimage site since ancient times. Devotees from all over the world visit the temple to seek Lord Shiva's blessings.
