Spirit and Grace

Greetings and continued blessings, my friends. One of the wonderful things about retirement is that I have a little more time to explore new-to-me composers and newer material from my old favourite writers, much to the chagrin of the members of my choir. Fr Ricky Manalo, the 2018 NPM Pastoral Musician of the Year, is one of those new to me. A prolific writer, Fr Manalo has penned many songs and books as well. This is a wonderful communion song written as part of “The Mass of Spirit and Grace” which was the musical setting chosen for Pope Francis' Eucharistic celebration in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Feb. 5, 2019. Until we can sing together again.. Spirit and Grace.
