In this Third-Place winning video from the 10th Annual Global Video Contest at the Annual American academy of ophthalmology (AAO) meet , OCT 2024. Dr. Manish Nagpal and colleagues discuss a variety of cases that present as a pre-retinal hemorrhage over the macula. These non-resolving hemorrhages require surgical intervention, but it can be difficult to determine which type of hemorrhage is present preoperatively. This video demonstrates how high magnification during surgery can help surgeons to visualize the planes of the hemorrhages and differentiate a subhyaloid hemorrhage from a sub–internal limiting membrane (ILM) hemorrhage.
