This video uses NetBeans 12 to code simple output to the screen. It starts by showing the different between print and println methods, then it explains how to use variables to display their values. It explains what concatenation means and how the + symbol represents concatenation or addition depending on the data types involved. Finally, the use of escape sequences
\t \\ \" and \' are exemplified.
You are asked to take screen shots as you practice these hands-on exercises.
NOTE: unfortunately, my recording app did not grab the dialog boxes or when I switched to Word to show how I inserted screen shots. My discussion is recorded while the screen keeps showing NetBeans. If you need help getting started in a new project in NetBeans, please do watch the previous video that shows how to start a new project. When you assign names to your work, use your last name followed by PWM1 since this is your first "practice with me" exercise.
