Dr. Sharpe and Amber Schenk banded the feisty seven week old eaglet at Two Harbors this morning. In the afternoon, Cholyn arrived with a fish and fed the eaglet. The measurements indicated that this eaglet was male, and was banded as such, but with that attitude you have to wonder if it may be a female. This was Dr. Sharpe's final banding before his retirement. The eagle community owes Dr. Sharpe a great debt of gratitude for all of his work restoring the eagle population on the islands and for all of the rescues he has performed over the years. We wish Dr. Sharpe and his family the best in his retirement.
