I was still attending classes however felt like I needed something extra to continue improving. Remote programming means training on my own in open gym times, which hasn't been easy as I love the CrossFit community so much (thankfully, Jeff is super chill about me jumping in on a class here and there). But the results have been so worth it. Silverback uses seasonal approaches to prep athletes for the competitive season, starting with the CrossFit Open with competitions typically continuing on into the summer months. Starting in mid November meant Jeff focused on developing strength for olympic lifts, and particularly for me, the snatch. Within just the first 4-6 weeks: -I feel more secure in the overhead position of my snatch -I've increased my overhead squat -I've been encouraged to push my limits in ways that I wouldn't have done in classes -I've learned important technique queues that have improved my lifting capacity -I've developed strength on the rings which has me on my way to a ring muscle up Since this video, we've shifted focus towards preparing for the CrossFit Open, sharpening skills and developing more aerobic capacity. Jeff has been a fantastic coach so far, and I can't wait to see what he has in store for me coming into the competitive season.
