A double header from Australian rock band Wendy & The Rockets (later they added an extra 'T' and were Rocketts). Fronted by the splendid Wendy Stapleton, this group was active for a few years, with 'Reputation' becoming their first hit - charting at #40 nationally after its July release in 1981. 'Tonite' was issued in September, but surprisingly did not chart. In my humble opinion the latter is the stronger song, but what do I know? Both these releases eluded me, and it was 1982's 'Your Place Or Mine' that introduced me to Wendy & The Rocketts and I was smitten! Wendy is a much respected and experienced performer - on stage, on screen and in the recording studio as a session singer also. Bearing a striking resemblance to the iconic Dusty Springfield, Wendy toured a musical show about the life and music of the British legend. Enjoy this slice of Aussie pop/rock from 40 years ago.
