Tonight marks Round 2 of the Race by Wire (RbW) Porsche Cup Season 1 as sponsored by Energise Virtual Solutions and hosted on iRacing! We return from our Christmas break, and after an enthralling season opener at Miami, we have made our way southwards from the USA to Brazil to the classic Autódromo José Carlos Pace circuit. More commonly referred to as “Interlagos” in reference to the neighbourhood of São Paulo city in which it resides, this 2.67 mile course is not to be underestimated. With its 15 corners weaving their way through the local hillside terrain in an anticlockwise direction, this will be a circuit that is harsh on both driver and machine! In the Gold Class Drivers’ Championship, the Ice Cold Racing by Maxsimracing pair of Mats Strand and Oscar Berntsson have set the pace; sharing the victory spoils across our opening races with the former leading the latter by two points. DCW Racing Blue’s Andy Jones was the only driver to be able to thread himself between the duo by taking the runner up spot in the Feature. Will Jones or anyone else be able to break up the leading pair’s act tonight? In the Silver Class Drivers’ Championship, Adam Klamvik’s perfect score in Miami has seen him set a high bar for his rivals to aim for. Yet some would argue that said bar may be quickly reached by Emma Ruiu who sits five points behind having enjoyed fierce battles with both Silver and Gold drivers last round. Moreover, do not rule out Chris Cole or Christer Halsoy whose own high standards were reflected in their podium finishes in the USA! How will our drivers fare as they return to the racing action? Tune in and find out! Our broadcast schedule for tonight is as follows (times in GMT/UTC): 1945 Broadcast Starts 2000 Qualifying (10 minutes) 2010 Sprint Race (12 minutes) 2025 Feature Race (30 minutes)
