Evidence That Speaks | District CDO Endorses NGS Baseline Findings on Women & Youth Land Rights

During the validation of the NGS Baseline Study, Mr. Akena Geoffrey, the District Community Development Officer (CDO) for Nwoya, commended the remarkable progress and visible impact of Northlight Green Services (NGS) in Koch Goma Sub-county and across the district. He praised the depth of the study, noting its accuracy in capturing the realities of land ownership — particularly among youth, who make up over 58.2% of Nwoya’s population. Mr. Akena highlighted key findings revealing that only 1 in 10 youth are likely to own land, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration to empower young people and strengthen equitable access to land.
