Make Reality Great Again Every once in a while, a technology comes along that changes things as we know them. Augmented Reality has the potential to usher in a new era, where our relationships with brands, content and technology will redefine our reality as well as society as we know it. Augmented Reality will become the ultimate content delivery and interaction platform, surpassing even the World Wide Web in importance. It will dismantle the final barrier between human and cyber realms. But ‘with great power comes great responsibility’ – as the tech industry tries to harness cognitive computing techniques to push content to users, it neglects the core purpose of technology – designing for human imperfections instead of overriding them. Only through human-centric design, can we harness the potential of this incredible technology and indeed 'augment' our experiences through it. Galit will share with the audience, the path to apply augmented experiences via her ’12 Steps Plan for Sustainable Augmentation’, in order to indeed ‘Make Reality Great Again‘ through AR application. She was recently a Keynote speaker at the New Dutch Wave house [SXSW March ’17] and has held leadership roles in design, retail and education. As a self-proclaimed ‘digital hippie’ Galit’s upcoming book ‘Augmenting Alice’ [June 2017] explores the side-effects of implementing Augmented Reality; and the manner in which Augmented Reality diffusion will redefine core concepts related to identity, privacy, experience, and ethics.
