Les Cascades du Sautadet, or the Sautadet waterfalls, are situated in the department of Gard, the region of Occitanie in southern France. The falls attract lots of visitors every summer, with more than 700 cars coming and going in their car parks every day. Whilst the throngs keep flocking to the attraction during these sweltering seasons, it can't be ignored that safety cautions are the main cause of concern. Since 1962, tens of lives have been perished there. Red flags and signs warning ' Baignade interdite' ( swimming is forbidden) are found in the first few sections of the fall. The magnificent cascades look mesmerising and spellbinding, simultaneously, the torrents underneath the water can be unpredictable and mercilessly. Overall, all one needs is well-prepared, such as going with a pair of trainers for the tough trek, as well as a pair of water shoes, avoid the part with visible currents when you dive into the water. If you can, try not to bring children under five along. Some ever suggested those over fifty years old shouldn't visit. I think it's slightly hyperbolic since the best judge of one's physical health is oneself. The falls, however, is an attraction worth visiting, not to mention the stunning beauty of the department of Gard.
