Black Bear Pass is one of Colorado’s most legendary off-road trails—steep, narrow, and notorious for its hairpin switchbacks and shelf roads. At the trailhead, there’s a sign warning drivers that only short wheelbase vehicles are recommended. So what did we do? We brought a long bed Tacoma and a full-size Tundra with a camper setup up the entire trail—without issues. In this video, we walk you through the full run, show how we tackled the tight sections, and even come across a vehicle that had rolled off the side at one of the sketchiest parts. This trail will test your skills, confidence, and turning radius. But with the right setup and experience, it’s more than doable—even with long wheelbase trucks. ✅ Vehicles in this video: 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma 6 foot bed w/ Alucab Camper 2nd Gen Toyota Tundra 6.5 foot bed with Tune Outdoor M1 Camper 🎥 Subscribe for more real-world off-road testing, trail breakdowns, and Toyota adventure content straight from Colorado. 👍 Like this video if you enjoy challenging trail content, and comment below if you’d try Black Bear Pass in a full-size truck!
