In this video, I break down Pathways, the UK government–backed game aimed at young people, and explain why I believe it’s blatant propaganda that completely backfired. The game attempts to steer players toward “approved” choices through fear, misinformation, and emotional manipulation — presenting a narrow, state-approved worldview while demonising anyone who steps outside it. I discuss how Pathways relies on scare tactics, exaggeration, and misleading narratives to push its message, and why that approach is not only dishonest but dangerous when aimed at youth. Ironically, the game’s so-called “bad” character — clearly intended as a warning — has instead been embraced online as a symbol of British patriotism and resistance to government messaging. Rather than discouraging dissent, Pathways may have done the opposite: exposing how heavy-handed and out of touch this kind of messaging really is. This video isn’t about hate or extremism — it’s about questioning government narratives, protecting young people from manipulative media, and calling out propaganda when we see it. #gaming #gamingcommentary #pathwaysgame 0:00 Intro 0:28 Propaganda Game Released In The UK 0:52 The Land Of The Cooked 3:18 Let's Dissect This Masterpiece 10:28 Why Does This Exist 13:00 Long Live Amelia!
