Fernandina Beach, Florida. The Long Point golf course at Amelia Island is a 1987 Tom Fazio layout that plays through salt marches, forest and seaside dunes. Much of the route works its way around saltwater marshes on the southern tip (or “Long Point”) of this barrier island. Although it’s not an easy walk to and from, Fazio brought the course out to the Atlantic beach for nos. 15 and 16, two consecutive par threes that offer beautiful views and tough breezes to combat. ( very nice course, thin fairways a bad drive hits water or forest on almost every hole. very attractive and scenic its a challenging play, but if water makes you nervous you might want to pass this on up )
