A brief look at what CCPs are and how they are used to create your character. Most people are used to the class-based character creation method found in games like the 5E system. We find those quite limiting to the player, because you only make 4 meaningful decisions in the process of making your character; Species, Background, Class, and Subclass. Point-buy, talent based systems on the other hand afford the maximum amount of creativity to the players; every decision you make in the process is meaningful, because every decision is a point spent. CCPs allow GMs to tailor their game to the exact power level desired by their table. Want to play as gods among men? Bump those CCPs up and have a ball! Want something more gritty and grounded? Trim back to 10, or even 7 CCPs and feel the challenge. The average person walking around is something like 3-4 CCPs, so even at those lower levels the PCs will feel fairly strong.
