Prepare the colours you want to work with before getting started; use what you already have (on a dominant page or in the background of the page). 2. Use overlapping. 3. Vary in size and shape. 4. Let items return elsewhere in your collage (use them twice). 5. Work in groups of collage items. 6. Create a calm spot for your eyes to rest. 7. Create a collage based on a theme or wonderful memories. 8. Make foldouts when you have too much material. 9. Keep it simple! 10. Don’t think too much!
