The roadblocks pregnant people face when deciding when, how, and if they want to be pregnant seem to close in by the day. We could say this is the full impact of the 2022 Dobbs case where Roe v Wade was overturned, but the reality is that this is not as new as you may think. What is new is the lifting of constitutional protections enabling anti-reproductive-health legislators to flood our general assemblies with new bans. But there has been a pushback: reproductive health ballot measures have overwhelmingly shown support for the rights of pregnant people in states across the political spectrum. On July 17, we discussed the current state of reproductive rights across the nation and the ways it is impacting us in more than just the doctor’s office. This event was moderated by Casey Danoff, ACLU of Delaware Penn Catalyst Legal Fellow.
