Not completely satisfied with Thursday, even on Friday, for the second consecutive day (and the last of the event), I followed the Ferrari 288 GTO Legacy Tour from 2 to 4 October in Italy. This time, I headed to Mantua in the splendid Piazza Sordello, a fantastic setting for videos and photos. Fortunately, all the cars were present compared to the day before, so 24. Crazy! After leaving Lombard City, I went to wait for them in Maranello, precisely at the historic exit of Via Abetone Inferiore 4, I must say, with a large group of enthusiasts eagerly awaiting. The last act of the tour took place on the Fiorano track, where the 288 GTOs paraded a couple of laps of the circuit before lining up on the main straight. The overall view is breathtaking. So, exactly 40 years after its presentation in 1984, this rare supercar produced in 272 units turns 40 and remains beautiful in my eyes—a timeless shape. The 2.8-litre, 8-cylinder engine has two turbochargers with intercooler and can develop 400hp. This allows it to have high-level performances, from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and a maximum speed of approximately 300 km/h. The 288 GTO was the first Ferrari supercar of the modern era to inaugurate the lineage of iconic cars as the maximum expression of the Italian manufacturer. After that, the F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari followed. Enjoy! 😉 Non completamente sazio di Giovedì, anche Venerdì, per il secondo giorno consecutivo (ed ultimo della manifestazione) ho seguito il Ferrari 288 GTO Legacy Tour che si è svolto dal 2 al 4 Ottobre in Italia. Questa volta mi sono diretto a Mantova nella splendida Piazza Sordello, un contesto fantastico sia per video, sia per foto. Fortunatamente, rispetto al giorno prima, tutte le vetture erano presenti, quindi 24 in totale. Pazzesco! Lasciata la città Lombarda sono andato ad attenderle a Maranello, precisamente all'uscita storica di Via Abetone Inferiore 4, devo dire assieme ad un folto gruppo di appassionati in trepidante attesa. Ultimo atto del tour si è consumato sulla pista di Fiorano dove le 288 GTO hanno compiuto in parata un paio di giri del circuito prima di allinearsi sul rettilineo principale. La vista di insieme è da togliere il fiato. Dunque, a 40 anni esatti dalla presentazione avvenuta nel 1984, questa rara supercar prodotta in 272 esemplari compie 40 anni ed ai miei occhi resta bellissima. Una forma senza tempo. Il motore da 2.8 Litri, 8 Cilindri, è dotato di due turbocompressori con intercooler ed è capace di sviluppare 400cv. Questo le permette prestazioni di alto livello, da 0 a 100 km/h in 4.9 secondi e circa 300 Km/h di velocità massima. La 288 GTO è stata la prima supercar Ferrari dell'era moderna ad inaugurare la stirpe delle vetture iconiche come massima espressione del costruttore Italiano. Dopo di lei si sono succedute F40, F50, Enzo e LaFerrari.
