Here is my instrumental mix of the July 6th performance of "Billie Jean" live in Munich. The HIStory World Tour has such fantastic instrumentation, so much so that I greatly prefer listening to it over the original recordings of the songs. I hope you enjoy experiencing the magic of Michael's musicians as much as I do. Immense thanks to Brad Buxer, Kevin Dorsey and all of their colleagues for making this show sound as fantastic as it does even over 25 years after it was first performed. Mixed from the original recordings of the July 6th show. The crowd microphones are kept during the intro and outro segments as the on-stage microphones pick up enough bleed such that the crowd cannot be removed entirely, so in these exposed sections it is much better to keep the crowd in. You may hear some quiet bleed of Michael's playback vocal too due to similar reasoning. You might hear some distorting elements in this. Sadly, that is simply how the raw tracks are. Please do not ask me to upload versions with these included. I cannot in good faith use these vocals when they were never intended to be heard, hence why they are not included in this video. This video is in no way a replacement or a part of the HIStory World Tour in Studio project that my friend and I have been working on for the past four years. That project is still being worked on and will provide much more in-depth separation and mixing opportunities compared to the limited mixer outputs on live shows.
