The back end or 2nd section of Layla, by Derek and the Dominos. The beef is between Jim Gordon and Rita Coolidge only, this wasn't an "Eric Clapton" album, it was the Dominos, not Eric solo. Eric saw Jim playing this in studio and said if you are gonna use my studio time then we are recording this...but said it with zero intention to actually use it on the album...this was recorded 3 weeks after the first half of Layla and wasn't Eric's decision to use it on the album and wasn't his call to hook it onto the first half either...management agreed to put it on Layla and to use it on the album that way however the singles did not use it. it was a song Jim and Rita fooled around with and left it open to be finished and had no lyrics at all and the two should have worked it out so it has zero to do with Eric, it wasn't his call, he was just pushing Jim to finish something he had thought he had written...and like Bobby Whitlock talks about, Jim played the original piano track and then he then overdubbed a separate piano track over it giving it an extra kick in spots. But the Rita Coolidge stories and claims have many holes and are easily debunked as far as any bit of it going back to Eric who is credited for the first half of the song only and wasn't in charge of what was put on an album that wasn't his.
