Midlands Dam

Dams have been built for thousands of years because of their indispendable purposes. In recent times all across the world, with expanding populations and the increasing demand for water resources, the need to build more dams for water storage have became inevitable. The construction of the Midlands Dam started on 10 January 2000 and ended in December 2002. It is, in fact, the very first time that such a dam has been constructed in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean region. The documentary displays the magnificence of the dam, describing several of its striking features, all conceived with state-of-the-art technology.
