Twilio stock $TWLO has fallen dramatically over the past year and underperformed the Nasdaq since their IPO. The TWLO stock price may represent a relative bargain, but we’re not convinced this is a company to invest in because it’s very difficult to understand what they do. Once you get past all the buzzwords, Twilio is a communication platform that interfaces between the internet and telecom carriers – that is until Twilio started making all kinds of acquisitions which have left $5 billion in goodwill on their balance sheet. Twilio is burning through a hefty amount of cash and has about 7 quarters of runway left. We’re not going to invest in $TWLO stock because we’re not able to sufficiently understand what they do.
