We're headed to the hub of the Lower Cape in our latest EsCape TV episode — to the town of Orleans! Fishing, art, music, theater, kid-friendly activities, amazing beaches and great restaurants—this Cape Cod town has it! Come along as we explore all the great things Orleans has to offer! Orleans has 54 miles of coastline and is home to one of the most popular beaches, Nauset Beach, on Cape Cod. Nauset Beach is on the National Seashore and does allow driving on the beach with a permit. In addition to the ocean facing beaches, Orleans is also situated on Cape Cod bay with the public beach of Skaket Beach. Known for its swing in sea level with the changing of the tides, Skaket Beach is great for families and young children or anyone who likes taking long walks. At low tide, you can walk for miles and explore the tidal pools left behind. There are endless summertime activities in the town of Orleans include the Cape Cod Baseball League featuring the Orleans Firebirds. The Firebirds play their home games at Eldridge Park.
