The Spitfire MJ444 Restoration | Parky checks in with Airframe Assemblies

The team at the Isle of Wight have been making fantastic progress on the fuselage, wings and empennage of Spitfire MJ444. They are currently slightly ahead of schedule with these key components and as you'll see in episode 2 of the restoration web series, it's starting to take the shape of a Spitfire!  With a majority of the components used to construct the fuselage, wings and empennage either in the jigs or reaching final assembly on the lay-up boards progress is now highly visible. Soon the intricate leading edge wing assemblies will soon be 'turned over' in the wing jigs and the trailing edges sections of the wings will begin assembly.
