Hi everyone, I haven’t uploaded any videos for a full three months. But during these three months, even though it was a scorching summer, I didn’t do nothing like before—I’ve been breeding cardinal tetras the whole time. I finally hit 200, and actually, the number is way more than that. This 1.05-meter tank alone has over 250 of them, plus the ones of all sizes in the other 6 small tanks. Conservatively, the total number should be around 500. To scale up to a larger size, like thousands of them, it’s basically just a matter of having more large tanks and more breeding fish. And of course, the most important thing is plenty of time. As for the key points of breeding, I’ve actually talked about them several times already. Compared to my last video, this might feel a bit like rehashing old stuff. But after frequent attempts over the past three-plus months, both the spawning rate and survival rate have improved significantly compared to before. This proves that this breeding method works. To summarize the key points, they’re mainly as follows: 1. Breeding water: 1/3 RO water, 2/3 stream water. 2. Keep male and female fish in separate tanks. 3. Continuous breeding to maintain the breeding proficiency of the parent fish.
