My daughter also had one for herself (also for kids) but her previous printer required her to slice things on a tablet, and that was confusing and extremely slow. The Kidoodle has a catalogue of pre-sliced models that start printing immediately. This was perfect for her satisfaction in printing things herself. The printer is fast, the interface on the screen is super easy. It has a direct-drive print head, filament sensor, cooling is adequate. Opening the door pauses the print, it feels quite safe for kids. Kidoodle has an App for iOS and Android. I installed them. We never used them. She used the screen of the printer all the time. The print-bed is not heated - your kid needs to use glue-stick, but the results are nice - way better than relying on "rafts". It doesn't have bl-touch or bed-mesh. But that's not an issue: the bed is quite small and it came well adjusted from the factory. You can tune the corners if you need, and you can set Z-offset on the screen. I didn't talk about these things on the video because it was already very long. Once more, it is a printer for your kids. They will love it ❤️ Don't compare it to any professional 3D Printer. The real deal is the autonomy your kid will have and the catalogue of models. Kidoodle Slicer is extremely simple and if you are an experienced 3D Printing user, you will find it very limiting.
