**Recorded 2021-12-30**, updated 2025-03-22 Similar to the South Portland ME Flashing Yellow Arrow Right Turn Signal I captured in the summer of 2021, this one in Piscataway NJ at Stelton Rd and Ethel Rd was recently installed as part of a reconstruction project. This is the second FYA (but first four section) to ever be installed in the State of New Jersey - there's one in North Bergen at Bergen Tpke at JFK Blvd (installed in 2012). The left turns are still controlled by "yield on green", 4-section bimodal signals, with the permissive lefts controlled by adjacent thru signal. Despite being similar to the South Portland ME example, the two locations operate differently. This one doesn't use the same FYA overlaps like back in Maine, and the right turn overlap's display resembles that of a 5-section signal instead of a typical FYA display. The signal heads are R-SY-FY-GA. What do you think? Do you prefer this installation, or South Portland's installation?
