Hook: Hanak H230 BL #10 Thread: Veevus GSP 30d (White) Tail: Hen Cape Hackle fibres Rib: Copper Wire Fine Body: Natural Pheasant Tail Fibres Thorax: Buzzer Wrap UV Hackle: Badger Hackle The Cruncher is a well established fly on the competition circuit and there are many variations to the pattern. This is one that came about purely by chance as I explain in the video. It is a firm favourite and whilst nymphing in May and early June it is seldom from my cast and I will often fish two on the same cast. It works best in #12 and #10 but can be tied down to #14 for smaller Stillwaters. It is best fished as part of a team of flies and I really like it for the washing line method when the fish are high in the water. What flies to you like when the fish are high, let me know in the comments section below. Royalty Free Music https://www.bensound.com/
