Far Cry 5 is a first-person shooter developed and published by Ubisoft. As you can tell by the title, the game is the fifth main installment of the series. It was preceded by Far Cry Primal, which for some reason was not assigned a number. The story takes place in Hope County - a fictional region of the state of Montana. The county has been taken over by a doomsday cult, led by the charismatic and hypnotic (aka, nut-job) Joseph Seed. Along with his two brothers John and Jacob, and his sister Faith, Joseph has created this religious sect known as the "Project at Eden's Gate". Its mission - to lead the people of Hope County to paradise when the inevitable 'end of the world' finally comes. As a rookie deputy, you are called in to aid the local sheriff and other law-enforcement officials in liberating the county from the despotic clutches of the Seeds. Along the way, you'll come across other residents of the county who are eager to join forces with you and your companions. Besides the main story missions and objectives, the game features several side quests that are fun to play and add depth to the storyline. Besides the single-player mode, the game offers cooperative and competitive multiplayer - so grab some of your friends and put that Seed family to rest, once and for all!
