And where would we be? If it's not you If it's not you and me As the curtains close On a sold-out show Look how far we've come Dancing in the sun It is then I know Why the bright stars glow It is then I know It's impossible To say "I" You are my starlight Oh how you shine bright From day until night A love that's so right Shine on Darling you know Where I would be All that we share, all that we see Where would we be If it's not you If it's not you and me Written by Valerie June Hockett =========================== The Moon & Stars live tour dates (2022): March 31 - Seattle, WA @ Showbox April 1 - Vancouver, BC @ Commodore Ballroom April 2-3 - Portland, OR @ Aladdin Theater April 5 - San Francisco, CA @ The Fillmore April 6 - Berkeley, CA @ UC Theatre April 7 - Monterey, CA @ Golden State Theatre April 8 - Los Angeles, CA @ Fonda Theatre April 9 - Solana Beach, CA @ Belly Up April 22 - Kennett Square, PA @ Longwood Gardens May 3 - Northampton, MA @ Academy Of Music Theatre May 4 - New York, NY @ Town Hall May 5 - Washington DC @ The Fillmore May 6 - Munhall, PA @ Carnegie Of Homestead Music Hall May 7 - Ithaca, NY @ State Theater Of Ithaca May 10 - Toronto, ON @ Danforth Music Hall May 11 - Ferndale, MI @ The Magic Bag May 13 - Cleveland, OH @ Beachland Ballroom May 14 - Columbus, OH @ Athenaeum Theatre May 15 - Indianapolis, IN @ Hifi Annex May 16 - Bloomington, IL @ Castle Theatre May 18 - Chicago, IL @ Old Town School Of Folk Music May 19 - Milwaukee, WI @ Turner Hall Ballroom May 20 - Minneapolis, MN @ Pantages Theatre May 21 - Iowa City, IA @ Englert Civic Theatre May 22 - St. Louis, MO @ Delmar Hall May 24 - Louisville, KY @ Old Forester's Paristown Hall May 25 - Cincinnati, OH @ Hamilton County Memorial Hall May 27 - Harrisburg, PA @ Midtown Arts Center May 28 - Annapolis, MD @ Ram's Head June 11 - Kerrville, TX @ Kerrville Folk Festival June 18 - Kansas City, MO @ Boulevardia July 9 - Pasadena, CA @ Palomino Festival July 10 - Big Sur, CA @ Henry Miller Memorial Library July 11 - Petaluma, CA @ Lagunita Brewing Company July 24 - Newport, RI @ Newport Folk Festival July 29 - Kaslo, BC @ Kaslo Jazz Fest July 31 - Spokane, WA @ Knitting Factory ==================== Valerie June official bio: Blending folk, soul, blues, and traditional Appalachian elements into a refreshingly timeless sound that sits outside any particular musical era, Valerie June is a critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who began her career in Memphis. The daughter of a brick cleaner in the flatlands of West Tennessee, June quickly took to the local roots music styles in the area, teaching herself guitar and developing her own stylistic mix, interpreting traditional material as though it were still alive and breathing, and writing her own material with an eye toward the influences of socially minded artists like Bob Marley. She officially began performing at the age of 19 as half of the husband-and-wife duo Bella Sun (the couple released an album, No Crystal Stair, in 2004 on their own Bella Sun Music imprint), but when the marriage fell apart, June left the South and began living the life of a gypsy street musician, playing for change in bus and subway stations up and down the West Coast. She eventually returned to Tennessee, finally settling in Memphis where she slid right into the city's active music scene. By now she had added banjo and lap steel to her musical base, and she began to draw local attention for her powerful performances, becoming a favorite at area folk festivals and workshops.
