We’re finally kicking off the build of the new engine cover for our Franna crane and it’s nothing like the original! This custom cover had to be pieced together from pressed sheet metal and carefully tacked in place. Everything was going to plan… until we found a problem. The transmission access panel didn’t line up with the new engine cover and turned out to be the wrong size! In this video we also weld out the rear frame, fully seal the new top sheets, and finish welding around the new storage compartments. We’re stoked with how things are starting to come together. Every part of this build takes time, but seeing the engine cover take shape and the rear frame fully welded feels like a solid win! 👀 Watch the full Franna build series here: • Franna Crane Project! 👉 Want early access and behind-the-scenes?
