Fredric Effects Utility Perkolator Mk II Today's #OneMinuteWonder and #PedalOfTheDay brings us to the amazing Utility Perkolator Mk II from Fredric Effects - a modern interpretation of the Interfax Harmonic Percolator of the '70s. Several improvements have been made that allow for a lower noise floor, and greater signal:noise ratio. This has been achieved through utilising higher gain, lower leakage Russian Germanium transistors, and a low pass filter to remove hissing and high-frequency glitches from the processed sound. Aside from the wonderful staple tone, Fredric have also added in a toggle-switchable ring modulator, allowing you to achieve spatty octaver-esque tones that we think are about as Earth-shatteringly good as it gets! Why not pop on down to Denmark Street and try one out for yourself? These pedals are absolutely incredible. The guitar used here is a Fender Custom Shop '56 Stratocaster, and the amplifier is a Regent Sounds-exclusive RJ Ampworks Princeton Reverb, with a Tone Tubby Rose Gold hemp cone speaker.
