The 26-year-old has a hard time recalling anything that occurred over five years ago. She was told that while longboarding, she had an accident that placed her in a coma in the hospital. She suffered from a traumatic brain injury and had to re-learn all learned behavior like emotion, walking, smell and taste. Yet she chose to follow the path that her past self had created, pursuing a doctorate just two months after being discharged from the hospital. After struggling with years of contemplating suicide, Jing realized she had purpose in helping others.
