PDP Councillorship Candidate Loveth Izekor Rejects FCT Election Results, Vows to Challenge Outcome

Loveth Izekor, the PDP Councillorship candidate for City Centre Ward, has officially rejected the results of the FCT Area Council elections held on February 21. At a press conference in Abuja, she congratulated the re-elected AMAC Chairman, Christopher Maikalangu, but condemned the councillorship poll for being marred by widespread irregularities and alleged manipulation of figures at the collation centres. Izekor claimed her team won convincingly at the polling units, but the results were altered in favour of the APC candidate. She also expressed disappointment over INEC’s failure to transmit results in real time, which allowed fraud to occur. Izekor announced her legal team would challenge the outcome at the Election Petition Tribunal, aiming to reclaim her mandate.
