This is a playthrough of Sonic Frontiers for Xbox Series X, including the main game and the alternate ending DLC, The Final Horizon (timestamps below). Sonic Frontiers is the biggest and most ambitious Sonic game we've had in a very long time, and the fact this longplay has been a year-long project thanks to the game's incredible post-release support is a testament to that. The central feature of this game is the "open zone" gameplay - huge, open levels Sonic can traverse, hunt for collectables, and battle enemies in - and for the most part, it works really well. The "modern Sonic" boost gameplay also returns in the Cyberspace levels, though the physics and general control work differently to previous iterations of it in Unleashed, Generations etc. so you'll need to overcome your muscle memory for them.
