Motion: The Board of the Studio City Neighborhood Council has reviewed the Monthly Expenditure Report for September and October 2017, and hereby accepts and approves them. 7. Budget Committee Report by Patrick Lewis (2 min per stakeholder and member, 30 min total). 8. Transportation Committee Report by Barry Johnson (2 min per stakeholder and member, 10 min total). Motion A: The Board of the Studio City Neighborhood Council (SCNC) supports the Valley Vista Neighborhood application for a Preferential Parking District on Valley Vista Boulevard, Van Noord Avenue, Greenleaf Street, Maryellen Avenue, Dickens Street and Longridge Avenue. Motion B: The Board of the Studio City Neighborhood Council (SCNC) supports the Reklaw Drive Neighborhood application for a Preferential Parking District on Reklaw Drive with portions of Carpenter Avenue, Carpenter Court, Laurelwood Drive and Sunshine Terrace. Motion C: The Board of the Studio City Neighborhood Council (SCNC) requests that Councilmember Paul Krekorian restore the third automobile traffic lane in each direction on Vineland Avenue between Ventura Boulevard and Chandler Boulevard and re-engage the public’s input on solutions for north/south bicycle lanes in Studio City, West Toluca Lake and NoHo to include the possible use of Lankershim Boulevard. Motion D: The Board of the Studio City Neighborhood Council SUPPORTS the two motions of Councilman David Ryu which would require the use of headphones on all tour buses in Los Angeles, and instructs the Los Angeles Department of Transportation to study which streets are unsafe for these tour buses to drive on, and would allow the city to restrict tour buses from streets where their operation would pose a serious public safety risk. We further support the request by Mulholland Drive and adjacent residents that such restrictions be placed on the operations of tour buses on Mulholland Drive and request that Mulholland Drive be included in the list of streets on which tour buses are restricted.
