That's why I chose three world premieres and three pieces from three years ago. Traumbild and Traummaler have been the bedrock of the harmonic language I've been developing in my recent work while the gestural, reserved and poetic Tragedya series (first heard together here) demonstrate the departure point of an equally passionate and dedicated composer. Tear, the shortest piece on the program, is somehow the connective tissue for these worlds. At the end of my masters degree, it made me very happy to be able to program an evening of music that entirely start with the letter "T". T for thankful!
